This explains what personal information SpareHours collects through this website and when you contact us, and what we do with it. If you have any questions, email hello@sparehours.co.uk.
Who we are
SpareHours helps small businesses automate their admin. For the information described here, SpareHours is the data controller. You can contact us at hello@sparehours.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you email us: your name, email address, any phone number you give us, and whatever you tell us about your business.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, briefly processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from attacks.
We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or contact forms on this site. The evenings calculator runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to us.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep a simple record of who we've spoken to. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the business.
We will never sell your information or add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business: our email provider and our website host (Cloudflare). They act on our instructions and must keep your information secure.
How long we keep it
If we don't end up working together, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as the law requires, usually six years for financial records.
Client data
If you become a client, the way we handle your customers' data is set out separately in our data processing agreement, which you sign before any work starts.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@sparehours.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
